Terrier Tiger's Lump

Tiger is a lively terrier whose owners noticed a lump on his back leg a few weeks ago. Dr Cathy tested the lump with a needle and it was a mast cell tumour- a relatively common skin cancer in dogs. These tumours vary in their severity but they always need to be removed surgically.

Because of the location of Tiger’s lump, he required a skin flap to replace the large amount of skin that we had to remove with the tumour. Dr Ele and Dr Lan (from one of our sister clinics,) performed the surgery and so far Tiger is doing well. He is very active for his age so keeping him still after the surgery was tricky but his owners have managed really well and he is looking good!
