Patrick's teeth gets a scale and polish

We all know how smelly our pets' mouths can be sometimes but not all of us are aware of the irreversible damage dental disease can do to our pets. At Manningham Veterinary Clinic, we have introduced a 'Community Care Discount' to all our clients whose pets present to us with early stage dental disease. This discount means that we can clean your pets' teeth while the problem is still reversible, ensuring happier and healthier pets in our community. Dental disease cannot only be painful for your pet but has been linked to increasing their chance of developing internal organ problems later in life if left untreated.

Patrick is a 10 year old Bichon Frise who came in for his annual vaccination and check-up with us. We discovered that he had early stage dental disease. After discussing with his owner, Patrick was admitted the next week to have a routine scale and polish of his teeth under a general anaesthetic. The procedure was nice and quick and his teeth were brought back to their original gleam. Patrick recovered very promptly and is now enjoying life with a clean and healthy mouth.

The benefits of treating Dental Disease early are abundant, here are a few reasons:

  • No permanent changes have yet occurred to your pet's mouth
  • Your pet is not in pain from decaying teeth in their mouth
  • The anaesthetic is quicker, which means quicker recovery for your pet
  • Helps our pets stay healthier both inside and outside
  • The procedure is discounted when treatment is performed early

Our Community Care Discount is aimed at making dental care more accessable for everyone, allowing us to tackle this problem before painful extractions are required. We offer FREE dental checks 6 days a week to assess your pets' teeth and examine if they are eligible for our Community Care Discount.

After your pet's scale and polish we also offer FREE follow up checks of their teeth for life, and we tailor a specific homecare plan for you and your pet to help maintain their teeth in the future.
