Desexing a Rabbit - Meet Romeo

Romeo is a very cute 8 month old rabbit who came in to the Manningham Vet Clinic for desexing. His owners elected to castrate Romeo as he had become increasingly aggressive with other rabbits and had started to bite his friends.

Aggression in entire rabbits is very common and the resultant bites and scratches can lead to abscesses which can be hard to resolve and often require surgery.

Romeo was desexed by Dr Helen under a general anaesthetic and went home with a small number of sutures. He is now recovering well . While Romeo may not feel so romantic any more at least he wont be fighting and causing trouble!
